Welcome to CEDUS
The Center for Entrepreneurship Düsseldorf (CEDUS) at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf is your contact for all questions related to self-employment and starting a business. We support students, graduates and researchers in developing business ideas and, in addition to our free startup advice, also offer numerous workshops and events on entrepreneurial skills and sustainable entrepreneurship. Our team of advisors helps you with the acquisition and application of funding and connects you with experts from different business sectors. Visit us to learn more and start your entrepreneurial journey!

Innovation Congress
A special moment at the NRW 2025 Innovation Congress in Düsseldorf! We are incredibly proud that two of the four prizes went to HHU – a strong sign of our university's innovative strength.
It was an inspiring event, which we celebrated together with Rector Prof. Dr. Anja Steinbeck, Chancellor Dr. Martin Goch and Minister for Economic Affairs Mona Neubaur.

New support for female founders
HHU has received approval for EXIST-Women from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. Thanks to this funding, the third batch of the EXIST-Women Incubator started at CEDUS in March 2026. It is aimed specifically at women at HHU who are interested in starting their own business and supports them in their startup projects. All information can be found here: EXIST-Women
